A LETTER FROM THE ORGANIZER

Hey guys.
Jeff here from Syracuse Heroes Expo.

I wanted to a take a minute and thank everyone who attended this year's event.
It was very, very successful and I am grateful to all of you who made it that way.

I've received all the feedback thus far, and it means the world that you all are so excited about fandom.

These things we love are more than just pictures, toys, or cartoons.
You are more than just 'fans' or 'customers' too.

Thank you for being a part of this. I am honored to be able to share it all with you.

A big congrats to all the tourney and contest winners. I hope that you've been enjoying your prizes.

There is a long list of people who helped make Heroes Expo a reality in Central NY and without them, we may not have had one to enjoy. So I extend a big huge swimming pool of gratitude to them.

Nate Bliss, who designed the 'I want you' promo piece for the event, is a talent who's star will be rising.
I'll be kicking, screaming, and holding my breath until he agrees to handle the artistic part of things Heroes Expo related.
Thank you Nate!

Jay Shelansky made the cool Green Lantern VS Boba Fett banner on this page. Thanks man!

The guests who traveled by land, sea, and air to come to the heart of NY, and meet fans, deserve a round of applause. Great talents, all of you. On behalf of everyone that went, THANK YOU for the sketches, autographs, photos, shirts, and great memories. It was a real pleasure to have you here!

Gamestop provided an excellent time for the video gamers. A bunch of us were drenched in sweat under our Master Chief armor.
The chance to try out Guitar Hero III before it's even available was very memorable. I felt like a total rock star for at least a few minutes!

Garrison Excelsior is possibly the greatest 501st legion in the galaxy.
Thanks guys. The force is with you. ALWAYS!

Thanks to all the vendors, dealers, retailers, and merchants who provided a treasure trove of awesome stuff.

A big shout out to Syracuse's own comic book and hobby shops!

Flying Turtle Toys and Comics
Play the Game, Read the Story
and
King of Comics.

These are the stores in Syracuse that actually care about the fans.
These are the retailers that care about us as collectors and want to help build something better in our city.
Thank you for all your hard work and for caring about more than just your cash register.

Last and certainly not least, a big THANK YOU to Ron Bonk and SRS Cinema.
Ron worked on Heroes Expo and his B-MOVIE FESTIVAL simotaniously.
If that does not show some serious commitment to providing great events to Central New Yorkers, I don't know what does.
The Syracuse B-Movie Festival is coming on October 26 and runs through the 28th.
I hope to see you all there!

I thoroughly hope that everyone had a great time at Syracuse Heroes Expo 2007.
I look forward to being able to do this again with you all next year.
Thanks for making this event bigger and better every year.

With gratitude and respect,
Jeff Watkins
Proud organizer and fan
